Another one for #ProjectTwime, theme was “signs” this time.
My first idea was to not take the theme literally, and instead photograph something that would be a sign of something else. Forecast said rain, so I intended to get a window with lots of rain drops on it, and call it “signs of rain”. Alas, no rain.
Played with a couple more ideas: macro shots of Lego road signs, shadows in the grass as sign of sunshine, actual road signs, street name signs…
Then I noticed that the very newly built houses in our neighbourhood didn’t have the fences around them anymore, and … there were signs (!) of people actually moving in already. Saw this welcome sign, even got permission from the owner (behind the blue door), so snapped a number of shots. Chose this one, because not only is the sign itself in it, but also the bicycles in front of the next house, which in Holland is a clear sign the house is occupied.
Not related to the project: I love the sight of these houses. The outer walls of the light and dark yellow ones are wood, the dark red ones are brick. They also got different colour doors on them, and in a street of 10 houses, none are the same.
(Did I mention I love colours? :-))
