With all the wind outside, it proved to be impossible to even focus on the flower, which was all by itself in a large stretch of green grass by the side of the cycle path. So I did what I normally never do, I cheated. Picked the poppy, took it home, put it in water, and let it wait till I had time to photograph it. Taken against the light of an IKEA low-energy reflector bulb, positioned top right. No editing, only cropped it.
