Day 287: Stairs

These stairs don’t go anywhere anymore. At the bottom there’s a permanently closed gate to a private garden, and at the top there’s an equally permanently closed door to the tube platform. It was probably an alternative exit from the tube station at some point, but that must have been a long time ago.

Taken back in March 2006 on one of the rare wintery snow days. I took this photo at 8 past 10 in the morning, and by 2pm, all of it was gone. Melted, not coming back till next year.
