Week 9: I see seashells

Photo taken on my old Nokia N73, as I didn’t want to bring my Nikon to the beach, for fear of sand! :-)

Since the weather forecast said it would be 23°C today, we thought an afternoon on the beach would be a good idea. Next time we’ll also check the forecast for the force of the wind… We got totally sand-blasted, and I’m glad I didn’t bring my camera, as sand got in and on everything and everywhere. So, today’s photo was taken with my Nokia 5800, which performs okay I think, as long as there’s enough light.

Day 74: Ice cream sunset

Today we went to Scheveningen to see the festivities around vlaggetjesdag (= flags day), which is an annual celebration of the first herrings being caught and brought in. Lots of things to see and do, but it was also quite hot weather and too busy with too many people, so we decided to go to the beach instead.

This photo is one of many I took on the beach, I’ll look through the rest tomorrow and probably upload some more. (and sneakily backdate them so they appear to have been uploaded on the same day they’re shot — yes I can do that ;-))
